I Have just replaced the turbo on my FG It had done 28000klm was very noisy..whining..

car has been tuned with exhaust and XR8 airbox..made 285rwkw..boosting to 18 psi

The turbo was noisy before tune, but got progressively worse.

The turbo was replaced with the bigger F6 turbo..has not been dynoed since, but the car

is a different beast now..Before was hard to get off line hard without wheelspin..now boost comes

on higher in rev range....but pulls harder and longer..like a train..avg economy is 11.1 ltrs per 100.

I dont know if it will make more power, but it feels better...more driveable

Does it still spin without scrapin around the edges?

Does it make boost?

They aren't chips they are portions of the nut that have been machined away to aid in balancing the turbo assembly.
