Hi all, hoping someone may be able to answer this question. I was quite surprised that in 5th (manual, no tune) with WOT car stuttered and the TC was was on. Now I know that there is no way I was losing traction. Im thinking maybe TPS, but TC lit up so a little stumped. Went through previous threads with no success. Thanks in advance for any advice. Cheers

Haha sorry.. All sh*t aside..

Not sure about yours but my FG did this but being the FG it also flashes a warning, it was a steering angle sensor or something along those lines..

Keep it on topic. The "paint everything black" joke is over

Impellor, in 5th at wot you could have been experiencing torque reduction via etc. In a nutshell your car decided the driver demand for torque was too high and psrtially closed the throttle to reduce it.

This is just one possibility. How long since its had a set of spark plugs fitted? 5th gear and wot is a very high load situation and would show ant flaws in the ignition system if they exist

with the changes you have made to your car and no tuning, it may have started to overboost and caused the cutout to occur if you have loaded it up in 5th gear, but saying that an internet diagnosis by anyone is just a guess, enough people guess then there is a strong chance someone will guess correctly

I did consider this, although I didn't think that would cause the TC to flash. Thanks Mick. Cheers
