If I have a car by then I'll be keen.Without a doubt the best cruise on the forum by far, you have to do it at least once.

Can you do internal antenna's or stuck to the windows? I don't like the idea of screwing an antenna in to the boot, lol.

A few of us have stronger and/or external aerials so we normally sit at the front and the back of the pack. I've also got two spare 2w jobbies that will be available for anyone's use.Are we there yet?

And so long as your with the main group. As tabmeister implied, if you want to be heard though - better to invest in a 2W unit. You don't need to mount antennas on your car - probably 97% of us will be using handheld jobbies. Some quality brands are Uniden and GME. Having said that, Uniden 5W is my main unit and I've got some tricky dicky 0.5W specials which are passable but you notice the reception quality as well is not as good (which can make the difference between "stoppin for a bog" and "watch out for the log" ) I think Adam has the Uniden UH720SX 2W handheld and likes it. One reason he said he bought it was that it takes regular AA batteries as well as the provided rechargable batteries - makes for easy replacement of batteries on the go as can buy AA batteries anywhere. Here's a link to give you an idea of pricing for it. El cheapo no-brand 0.5W jobbies can be head for as low as $25 each though - but you get what you pay for. I was sort of going for the Uniden <something> cause they seem to be really popular and I haven't seen anything bad about them.
