xr6t_ute Donating Members 2,281 Member For: 17y 8m 12d Gender: Male Location: south east suburbs Posted 19/05/12 08:47 AM Share Posted 19/05/12 08:47 AM Well I had a slight rattle noise coming from my transmission so I took it to Phil from Bayswater Transmissions, after pulling it down we found the planatery gear set teeth had broken off.After inspecting the rest of the parts..ie bands and clutches, they showed very little signs of wear , and were put back in... so after 120,000kms and 4 years and 4mnths, and countless runs at the dragstrip, I have to say im pretty happy with the good old 4 speed.Its a testament to the way I drive it , regular servicing and the tune itself that has kept this box alive for this long.Thanks to Phil at Bayswater Transmissions for getting me back on the road in the same day as I rely on this ute, as its my only vehicle. 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Currently pushing 400rwkw through it for the last 6 mnths, and to know the clutches are still good gives me confidence to put a bit more through it.
