Hey Dat_40l, Are you Murray or Mitchell? And thanks for posting the vid, I carnt play it on my computer, its too much of a dionasure, I was woundering how to download and post it but what you have done is even better, cheers for that.

Well for the time been im pretty dam happy with the way it is now. I wish they changed the rules about all the saftey crap I now have to fit.

I loved doing what I did the other night. Drive to the track, unload the esky and chairs out of the boot, run a 10, load up and drive home after cutting a celebration lap through town. All the guys I was parked next to had pretty much race cars that are trailed to and from the track.

But I guess on the cards when I get borded, and if I decide to do what I wanted to do along time ago. I will start by sorting out the driveline first.

I will be going for a power glide, like what your running as I made that decision a couple of years ago when I had the thing in bits.

I was thinking of a c4 as some guys were doing complete conversions kits, then some other people were running turbo 400's and swearing they can handle more, after a few months of deciding what to go for if I ever upgraded, I just thought stuff it, go a pg and forget it.

Even if it made the car a pig, they can handle so much more then the other two, and when it comes to bang for buck, they carnt be beaten.

When justin was up here, he was talking about your car and said even with the pg your car is still very usable.

Brad Baker told me on sat night, that Justin is getting pg's with all the works from the usa at a really good price too. Did justin supply you your pg?

As far as the rear end, some good strong aftermarket drive shafts will do the trick I supose.

Once the drive line is sorted a bigger turbo is the next thing. Either a gtx42 or a gtx45. With that combo it should run into the nines pretty easly.

How about your self? Whats next on the cards for you? Are you going for a bigger turbo/are you running a bigger turbo? Are you going to fit a cage and chute then go for it?

hi craig,

im mitch yeah I love the PG I thin I been through so many different gearbox combos, started as T5 then T56 then 3spd jatco with electric overdrive ( that had to many little issues so got rid of it) now PG, justin did do everything for mine, PG with billet internals and straight cut planetry gears, billet shafts, 4000rpm stally with 5000rpm transbrake, chromemoly tail shaft, albins billet axels. I am running a t04z on standard anifold for the time been but my Gf an I have a bub on the way so car has to take a back seat, I want to come up and do powercruise next year at hidden valley but need to convince the minister of war and finance first lol..

the car is still very useable, yes it does sit up near 3000rpm doing 110 but its not too bad to drive around, we still take it out on weekends, but I brought a new triton so falcon can stay in the shed and if I go anywhere I can just tow the falcon, triton works out about 12l/100 towing the falcon so alot better then driving around on E85 lol..

on the cage side on things the day justin and I sat down and spoke about yeap we are doing a cage lets go for it, well I had lunch with the GF and she told me she was knocked up so yeah no deal lol...

im taking my car down to heathcote for ford forum drag nationals on june long weekend and hope to improve on the 10.66 I went last year...

G'day Mitch,

Yeah mate, family always comes first, especially if your having a kid lol. The main thing about the car, would be to make sure you can hold onto it.

It sounds like Justin has put together a pretty dam tough driveline for you. Im sure you wont ever have any trouble with it.

Im still running the stock driveline in mine, and after the history this car has had, I was abit worried.

Haha yeah I know what you mean about running on E85, the worst part for me is I have to buy the stuff in 44's, as they dont sell it at any servo up here.

It would be awsome if you made it up for power cruise next year, I missed this year due to been away but will make sure im there next year.

Good luck next month, im sure if you could get the thing to hook up with the trans brake, you would smoke your time lol.

Let us know how you go.
