As you may know, and by strange co-incidence, the server decided to die yesterday, and was offline for the majority of the day and evening, whilst it was restored.

This time lucky we did not lose any posts at all, and the site has been moved to a temporary box whilst the new FordXR6Turbo.com server is being built up.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused, thanks for the emails, SMS messages, and the like, I know how much the site means to you all

The planned migration to the new server should be around the Christmas time, as alot of cleaning up needs to be done, and setup of the initial system for transfer. The most you should be inconvenienced is around 24hrs as the internet propogates our new sites location (some of you may still point to the old site until propogation has occured).

We will advise cut off date for posts prior to moving the site, and will ensure no posts or information is lost in the transfer.

Thanks for your understanding :nyaah:

Guys the site is on a temporary box at the moment.

Wondering if you could help out by letting me know ping times (speed) to the new server, and hopefully help me to choose the fastest box.

If you have Windows 95/98/ME could you do the following:

Click Start, Click Run, type in command and press enter.

If you have Windows 2000/XP or NT.

Click Start, Click Run, type in cmd and press enter.

A black DOS box will come up on your screen. Type ping 66.79.184.30 and press enter

You should see something like this:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pinging 66.79.184.30 with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 66.79.184.30: bytes=32 time=176ms TTL=49

Reply from 66.79.184.30: bytes=32 time=176ms TTL=49

Reply from 66.79.184.30: bytes=32 time=175ms TTL=49

Reply from 66.79.184.30: bytes=32 time=175ms TTL=49

Ping statistics for 66.79.184.30:

Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

Minimum = 175ms, Maximum = 176ms, Average = 175ms

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Could you please let me know the number that is highlighted in yellow.

Once this is done, also do the following.

Type ping servermatrix.com and press enter

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pinging servermatrix.com [69.56.222.40] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 69.56.222.40: bytes=32 time=209ms TTL=243

Reply from 69.56.222.40: bytes=32 time=208ms TTL=243

Reply from 69.56.222.40: bytes=32 time=208ms TTL=243

Reply from 69.56.222.40: bytes=32 time=209ms TTL=243

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once again if you can give me the number highlighted in yellow.

And one more....

Type ping ev1servers.net and press enter

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
