Strange, coz all the FG FPV keys I have seen do have the FPV logo. Maybe you just ended up with a regular Fg flip key??? Ford are known to do stupid sh*t like that.

hmm ive actually got a few friends with fpv's and they too dont have the logo on them? maybe you can buy a badge for it? ford are a weird bunch.my two keys still have ford badges..doing my head in!

To be honest with ya mate, the last FPV GS key I saw definitely had the FPV logo on the back. That was before the new car got delivered to the owner from ford. Maybe it's a relatively new thing. I know ford went through a wired phase with chunky steering wheel, some FPV's had them others didn't. Had nothing to do with build dates or models. My mates BA F6 had chunky steering wheel, my other mates BF F6 didn't WTF!

Got it done at OZwide locksmiths in Market Square, just before I saw the thread replies. $35 and its FARKED!! the grooves are too shallow and it will only slide about 1/3 down the barrel. They said they will look at it. Not happy.

I am an Engineer, but you dont need any training to see its not right!

That the one under the escalator? Never liked the look of that joint lol. Never has any customers there or working..mister minit always got stuff to do.

Hope you get it sorted mate and make sure you tell them if they stuff it up completely they'll be paying for a new one from ford. Otherwise don't even bother going back and go to mister minit and see what he can do. Good luck!

There is a far cheaper way to obtain a complete and working key, it is called a FO21MH, this key however does not have intergrated buttons.

Meaning this is more of an emergency key, one up side to this kind of key is that it is 100% WATER PROOF.

please let me know if you need any other info.

The FG blade is a different keyway to the BA blade and works on a totally different wafer system ( locking mechanism ). And I dont think that changing the door barrels and ignition barrels would swap over to the BA.

The tibbe system that the Ba operates on is great anyway..........just saying

Went down to get my new flip key cut by Jaren today, only to find the poor guy is off work for a while because of some knuckle headed kid. Apparently people have been throwing things off the second level of Westfield, and yesterday he got hit in the head with a book that injured him! What is going on in this town? Hope he gets better soon!
