fk me the good old air box cry babies.

this herrod thing looks like a stock air box. it would easily fool the po po. so you can run a pod still and look stock. end of story. if your after something like this get it. im sure it will be perfect for some.

people sook too much, "oh its illegal" crap.

your theory is right on the money buds...I believe that if your gonna modify your car and worry about the legalities, dont modify it at all.my 2 cents anyway!

Is there such a thing as "more" legal?

This. Trying to pass aftermarket off as more legal than an Fpv product, lmao. Idiots.

I purchased and have installed one of thes "illegal" KMP/FPV air box's recently. The way I see it..if you've managed to get to the point of Mr Plod is actually lifting your bonnet to have a look you'd be basically in the poo for something anyway. There will be,in most cases other mods ( ones that are harder to reverse) that they'll screw you over.. cat/dumps,wheels,exhausts, even battery relocations and the like.

At the end of the day its personal choice. Herrods looks good and is allot more conservative.. but for me its still drawing hot air from under the bonnet till you get to enough road speed top force cooler air from around the headlight and ducting..

But again its personal choice, lets just be thankful that these guys are still bothering to put their money where their mouth is..

Until theres back to back dyno tests were all just hypothesizing...

Cheers

It's an advertising point that's FALSE, making it FALSE advertising. That's my only beef.

Just gonna say for the 100th time that it is legal as is the PW/Plaz/Staino/Rapid. Passed a complete epa test with a pod as long as breather and bov is connected and you can't see it! Anymore people bought these? Throttle response or nah? Had a turbo side box but prefer to run factory side

Yeh FG50T I have fitted one to my stock G6ET and noticed a slight throttle response.

The intact noise is loader and more defined but without being in your face which is perfect for me as it is a family car.

I was after the streetfighter cai but had concerns about it being a pain in the ass when using high pressure hose to clean engine bay.

Installation is simple no issues what so ever, all up no more then half an hour.

When it comes down to it I could have modded the stock one but I like the way it fills the bay in more with its lines.

Even more I like the fact that those in the know know those that don't don't!

You would have to say it would be pretty boring if we all modded our cars the same!!!

Thanks to Rob from Monsta Torque in doing all he could to deliver it to my door,

awesome service mate.

Some how I think the mod bug has bitten and my warranty will soon slip way.

Its one thing Ive never been 100% sure on.

I did call and speak to the EPA about this when I was modifying my car and they told me that if I have an aftermarket intercooler then I can not modify the standard airbox and it has to stay in its original location.

I just wish there was a black and white answer to this
