I

like my option better lawl

same with my ute, very light in the rear a bit twitchy and sketchy in the wet or dry.

I

had 10 rims in the back not long ago, and it was the best drive home comfort wise.

Going to drop some of those rims off at my house mate? Slab waiting in the fridge for ya.

If you throw weight on it, then it will amplify the broken or warn bits @ a possible higher rate of speed. Not good. A tonner is never going to be great in the wet. Good rubber is your best friend in the wet.

Go find a no ob quote from a couple of shops and see what's really wrong with it

im only giving my experience as to solving my utes problem being abit dodgy in the wet at times.

iv found this the same with 3 tonn trucks, 2 and 1 tonner utes etc.

yea pretty much whats been saud, front sway bars, castor bushes and check for steering play, commos tie rod ends can be a little dodge at high kms.

go round the rear and check to see if the U bolts that hold the springs to the axel are tight.

lowering with some good shocks will also make a difference. along with some good tyres.

I prefer having leaf springs, might be a bit caveman but its robust in the way off taking big power and not flogging diff bushes / getting diff bounce.

there is no reason that a ss would handle alot better, if I were you id spend a bit of coin on the tonner as atleast that's something a bit different, you wont see like 8 of them on youre way to the shops like you would with a ss.

cheers, andy
