thanks jvk - ill keep an eye out for one - I reckon one of them with a big fxck off hole in it will fit nicely. could be wrong though.

well guys I think I may have designed something that will fit the standard size filter in it. Have to double check - let me know what you think. used google sketch so the pipe would be just welded in not actually cut. slots in the front of the airbox may not be there either just depends on strength

freaky if I use the standard filter then it is more legal as pods and big intercoolers are illegal. plus I reckon I could do this for cheaper then buying a race intake and battery relocation. dunno if it will work or not but I will give it a crack. need to get a mod to change name of thread as original question is out the window I think

it will be installed where the battery is now and a relo kit for battery. it will actually be physically smaller but will flow more air. basically would shorten pipe work before turbo. I think that this is better option then spending $$ on a ss growler or the like as I think that this could be done pretty cheap. just fiddling I guess, using my skills so I dont have to pay someone else to do it
