My 2009 FG xr6t Ute has a strange problem when it comes to locking.

Mainly happens when the headlights are in (auto) mode and its dark enough for the lights to switch on.

Basicly what happens is when I try to lock the car it beeps quickly 4 times and will not lock, after seconds attempt it works fine.

I have taken car to ford but they could not fault a problem.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

Car is under warranty still!

Cheers for any help.

Rock stock FG turbs 12.7 quarter mile!

Means bem is seeing an open door... Check your boot actuator they are most common but they all fail... Could also be a battery voltage drop because of the headlights being on while tryin to lock...

I used to get that with my old BF work car. Didn't have anything to do with the headlights though. It was the boot. I wouldnt have opened it for a couple of days, but all of a sudden it was basically saying it wasn't closed. Open and shut it and it'd be gone.

Do you sometimes get beeps inside to say a door is ajar?

Whoops, missed that too. Auto headlights are sh*t anyway, never come on early enough!
