Makes me glad to be part of the XR6 Turbo community.Had a 2005 4X4 Ford Courier diesel for the last couple years. Before that a BF MK 2 Falcon Ute on dedicated gas. Now am driving in a sh*tty little runaround 88 model Telsta and absolutely can't wait to pick up the beast I've ordered next month. I wont know myself for at least the first month. I know ill love it and I just cant wait!So out of curiosity what are the FG MK 2 turbos running on the quarter mile and what is the time for 0 - 100 kms? Also you guys with the darker color cars, is there any advice you can give me on protecting the paint, for example are there any polishes or waxes on the market which help keep away the dirt and grime and make it easier to wash? Thanks again to everyone !!!!!!!!!!! Also that the new filtering systems are really good and no need to change oil till 5000 kms and then at 15000 kms and to keep using the same oil as comes from factory until then. Then at 15000 km you can run a full synthetic if you choose which will look after the engine much better especially if you drive it hard. Also with how good the new full syns are that servicing at anything under 10000 km intervals is a waste and if you don't do the kays then oil should be dropped at least every 12 months. Can't see it being much different inside a car.

Waiting for 15000 is just silly no matter how good the oil your running is. Just remember oil is relatively cheap in the big scheme of things when its protecting your motor from wear.
