But it sounds so good when set up correctly! Ground loops can also be a common cause, if it's not sourcing Fromm the icc itself. Try to ground everything at one point to minimize risk of ground loops. But unless you have some crazy standard head unit or a good aftermarket one there will always be a level of noise. Guest XR09 Guests Posted 23/05/12 04:14 AM Share Posted 23/05/12 04:14 AM (edited) I was told the alpine processor would remove most of the hiss that the std head unit has. He said he tunes them for the car and installation. Said It would also improve what little range the std head unit has. And I think he wanted all of $800 squid for it set up.So do we have a yeah or a neh on removing the std earth hiss, well that's what it sounds likeps Audioengine speakers are the ducks guts Edited 23/05/12 04:15 AM by XR09

I have a BA and have isolated mine down to the ICC itself. The induced noise I get is from the actual ICC unit (noisey electronics!). I found this by redoing every earth in the car when I had no factory stereo speakers or the amp connected. I did double earthing, earthing from the alternator, I did fcking everything!!!I did find that disconnecting the rear demister wires and FM cable from the black box in the rear passenger side hood lining does cut down the noise but I think all it actually did was change the nose frequency to a higher pitch that I may be slightly deafer at?My last ditch attempt will be to install 2x 40 amp filters that I got for like $2 each ($30-$40 items) from the WOW sight and sound closing down sale and will remove the ICC and try to figure out where I can input them...Its a deadset nightmare mate and all I can say is good luck! sam_rigger Member 246 Member For: 14y 2m 25d Posted 23/05/12 10:33 AM Share Posted 23/05/12 10:33 AM well even on my stock ICC with no aftermarket gear installed, there is noise on volume level 1, so I think it's the ICC putitng out the noise, not the gear after it. I'm no expert, just stating my experience in my own car.
sam_rigger Member 246 Member For: 14y 2m 25d Posted 23/05/12 10:42 AM Share Posted 23/05/12 10:42 AM I think I'm gonna get a head unit installed instead. The LC-6 doesn't do what I expected it would do.

You can't cover sh*t in sugar and expect it to be a lamington. Hahahaha
