Is this a common thing? surely ford would cover this under warranty or are they likely to blame it on the wrong coolant lol? Thoughts?

Noticed a spray pattern of rubber from the main belt before finding the missing pulley down on the stone tray. My guess is the pulley came off today on my way home from work, sounded like running over a large stick or branch. Prior to this I had noticed a ticking/squeaking sound from the engine which started about a week ago and in the past few days a distinct new (bad) smell from the car, which I now know was the overheating plastic from the pulley and the rubber of the drive belt.Car is stock with 75000km, and 5 months out of warranty unfortunately :(http://www.mediafire...8yd30zybmlr1734http://www.mediafire...qbhb5y98tkt2bus Edited 13/08/12 12:01 PM by bjviper
