It will fit in the spare wheel well (boot) easily.Just make sure it fits over the brakes when its on the car, not rubbing and scraping. A wrecker would also have a full size spare, and I would think even a steel wheel off a xt would be fine?

It will stuff the diff. As asked a few times is it the actual wheel that is catching fire?

And dont listen to the meat heads at Hutchies in town they wouldnt know a paper bag from a plastic one.

When fixed just go buy a 17" alloy for a couple of hundred and throw that in the boot, also I had 20s and used the spare on the rear for 2 days until I went to pick up the 20 from repair. Put it back on to the dealer if you can. Dont worry about MexicanBatman either. You've come onto the site with a legitimate problem and major safety concern and kindly warned us, only to get ridiculed by a childish tosser. You'll now go on to tell family and friends about this treatment which gives this site and the members a bad name.Come on mods, fair enough there are some gooses that come on here, but theresa clearly had a genuine problem and has approached this site to pass on her experience. Piss the dickheads off otherwise our forum will become known for being full of smartarse pricks. Bad grammar could be for any number of reasons. My son has severe speech language impairment, does that mean if he gets into xr6t's like his dad and comes on here without good grammar, he'll get sh*t put on him? Wont f*cking want to, ill hunt the bastards down and pull their spine out of their arsehole.Better still make me a mod and ill sort it out myself.

That will help narrow it down a little.

Yes some FGs come with space savers unless you option the full-size spare, also keep in mind that standard configurations for the NZ market are usually different to Australia.Welcome Theresa, and I sincerely apologise for the hostility you received.
