Hi all,

First post, I have purchased a 07 typhoon and will be modifying it shortly,

Just wondering, just change the cat or get a whole new exhaust? Not a super tight budget but if I dont need to do it id rather spend it on something else!

Looking to reach 380rwkw

Apologies if this is somewhere else on the forum..

Dave

380 would be pushing it for just a cat change.

full exhaust mate

is there such a thing as a dump back system? like changing out the cats for high flows and then new stuff from then on? just about everyone ive been talking to about modding has told me I should go exhaust even though im not chasing big power. but some extra noise would be sweet.

You can cut out the standard cat and replace it with a high flow. You can also cut out the center muffler for a bit more noise but if you can afford it a turbo back exhaust would be much better.

Just have a quick flick through the exhaust section.

cheers, rbjet. basically the only mods ive got planned was the exhaust and injectors. tune as well of course. perhaps a batt relocation and turbo side intake for some more spool noises. I'll have a good search though. thanks again :D

I have a 4" dump and 5" cat, and have reached its limit at 16 psi/360rwkw.

This is where Tonyv found the limit of it also. As well as worm.

If your in SA over 400 is possible.

I have a full exhaust but I was thinking of putting the back half of the original back on. I find in the early morning (6am) the car is too noisy to let warm up without rattling the neighbours windows at idle. Was going to suggest he get his windows fixed but not sure how he'd take the suggestion.

After reading this I might stay with the full system for now. Not into constipation.
