Have you tried listening to it with a screw driver? I had a few different noises when I had a loose flex plate and a bent rod. Both only on idle.If you've over revved it flex plate and if it's over boosted or seemingly lost power on hard boost it may have detonated a little and bent a rod or two.Could be anything though.Injector noise doesn't go away. I've never had lifters make a noise in the 3 motors I've had in my BF.Don't just put any old thicker oil in. Think of the turbo. Do some research in the oil section.
