post-51065-0-43780400-1336037993_thumb.jhi everyone, I have a problem, I need help as I dont want to get ripped off, anyway I own a 2003 BA XR6 Turbo ute 4 speed auto, today when driving I lost power, I put my foot on it and nothing, I had no power, but the engine was still running, I put my foot down again and the engine didnt even rev, but it was still running. I rolled to a stop tested reverse, fine, but then I noticed that the D was flashing, I turned it off and then back on and drove off, everything was fine, how ever it another 2 times on the way back home each time it done it the D would flash off and on! . So now Im pissed off....it has had a service not to long ago and only has 112000ks on it, can someone tell me if it could be a sensor playing up. regards me :)

Step 1- test your battery if its stuffed replace it

Step2- run self test see what codes have come up probably forced limited rpm code which is normally due to dodgy battery and probably comms fault with tcm which is why the d flashes

hi and thank you for the reponses to my question, but I have to say the battery is fine, nothing wrong with it! starts 1st time every time.

So it could be the TPS or the MAP sensor, that's sending into limp mode, is that correct?
