If I purchase an XCAL2 second hand, it WILL be able to be retuned for my BA as I dont have to worry about the ZF files, correct?

I was looking at second hand XCAL 2 as I've heard that the logging of the X3 on the BA's has some issues, and as I have a wideband and have tuned my own cars in the past (jap cars using open source tools) I would like to log and fine tune adjustments as I'm reasonably confident with tuning. Just want to make sure I get the right hardware.

Does it matter if its CAPA or SCT branded then?
