I obviously pulled them out when I did the plugs a few weeks ago and they looked in good nick. Do you think there is a coincidence that I have recently pulled the plugs and the coils are now dying or could I have not put one back on properly. How sensitive are they

As above, sounds like coils.

Mine was doing the same thing, bought a set of genuine coils off eBay, whacked them in and it was all fixed. Coils in it looked fine but must of been shot internally.

genuine mate, there are a few threads people having issues with brand new non-genuines. look for 'mikesmodelcars' or similar ebay seller. they are genuine and a great price.

I had the same problem- Took it to a mechanic who has a lot of experience xr6 turbos. Turns out that the code came back as an overboost issue.I am awaiting to find out exactly what it is however is a wastegate issue.

Will keep you posted- maybe a sensor.
