My tuner of my old ba used a 71 degree thermostat as well and mine while cruising was at a 1/4 but in traffic went to just under half way like it did with the stock thermostat sounds the same as yours white xr but mine didnt break down at wot.

Hi mate, my car was reaching 75 degrees on my gauge at night cruising in 4th, which would just sit a point of 1/4 I think once I reach those temps it would put it in cold start mode or something like that, anyways with the 71 degree thermostat my car when driving normal in traffic or even cruising during the day would sit in the areas of 96 to 103 degrees which would be the coolant temps that the tuner would be getting while on the dyno as well, an when my car are at those temps you can actually feel it, its real slugish. I think its to high, so what I did now is change the thermostat to a 82 degree an put in a new radiator so I wouldnt have to be worrying about blockages or my cooling system anymore,if needed il get the tuner to adjust the fans. Im sure the coolant side of things will be fine for me now, I just now have to figure out why my inlet air temps rise so high for. Edited by WhiteXR

That is a normal temperature increase to see with a plazmaman cooler

Hi mate, with that tempreture increase would the intercooler be the part that is letting me down from making over320rwkw, I have paid a nice sum for the 1100hp intercooler thinking that it is way enough to handle my goals.

what cooler did you have previously?

My previous intercooler was a chinese custom made 510x400x90 similar to a lot of other ones out there, it was a bar an plate aswell.

Now with this cooler the tuner was telling me that inlet temps were high, so what I did on the spot, I rang plazmaman an told him I need a cooler now, an that's when I went to his shop, grabbed it then installed it in my car same day an all,put it back on the dyno an same crap,no change in air intake temps, only noticed that the plazmaman 1100hp was spooling much faster.

Try a new Map sensor

Hi mate I was actually thinking of changing the map sensor an the 02 sensor on the exhaust.

Once I install the etm manifold il also change the 2 sensors before I have another crack on the dyno.
