I have added a monza cooler only, and opened up my air box. I am really just looking for a tune for better economy and maybe a touch more power. If anybody has had any experiences please let me know. I'm not looking for huge kW or anything, maybe 280kw at the engine and better fuel consumption.RegardsNick Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/79944-anybody-had-their-stock-ba-xr6t-tuned-with-no-mods/ Share on other sites

Valve Springs will probably be your first hurdle, then your are looking at cat convertor. What transmission do you have? If it's a Manual T5 you need to be aware they break very easily. Yes it's a T5. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/79944-anybody-had-their-stock-ba-xr6t-tuned-with-no-mods/#findComment-1229328 Share on other sites

The slightest increase on power and it's only a matter of time before gearbox goes BOOOOOOM. Do the conversion if like the car so much. Considering you will be up for around 1500 for a tune you're probably best to leave it stock if you don't want to alter the transmission.
