I agree with most of that but not all of it. Limos loose value more then anything and I don't think anyone paid over 50 for a lux pack XR. The things that seem to hold there value best are the utes.

Yea go the manual ute, I know I had to pay for mine when I got it but looking at the NZ market being rare as in manual it should still be holding value compared to the same thing in auto.

I don't disagree with any of that actually.

I was just using the standard Ford prices. The initiall prices my local dealer gave me were $57,000 for an Auto XR6T with Lux Pack and $61,000 for a G6ET drive away. He took $5K off each pretty easy but I told him he should research car sales. They're about $48,000 and $54,500 on car sales drive away without even negotiating.

Some people also simply don't realise that it's normal to get 15% or more off the drive away price on Ford's website.

My aim is $50K drive away with floor mats, dash mats, boot lip protector...

I'll also get a tow bar but later as Ford's prices are a rip-off.

Speaking of which, anyone out there in Victoria know of any good deals for an FG XR6T. I only really get to look at webistes like carsales. I dont really have time to head out to dealers since I work on the weekends aswell.

No idea on used mate, I've never looked at used XR6T's at dealer yards, only what's on car sales and private sales.

I got told $50k is "possible" for a 2012 FG MkII XR6T Auto with Lux Pack without committing to buy one so you could work down from there once you are committed to getting one.
