Gday fellas

I have always been a Expensive Daewoo man but I have been converted after recently test driving Xr6t a few months ago, I just sold my VE Bogan special for 30k

I am in the market for an XR6T

I was wondering on your opinions about either buying a FG for 25k and 5k of modifications or BF for 15k and put 15k of modifications on it

Im currently deployed to afghanistan so I wont be able to pick up a car for 3 or so months

cheers for your help

As this is your first post I won't just close the thread a tell you to use the search function as this question comes up all the time.

Long story short there is no definitive answer it's all personal preference, but more then likely the one you spend more money on will be better.

I chose a BFMK2 (stronger bottom end) in the end. Could have gone a FG but personally preferred the stylings of the BF.

BF will make more power in the top end due to the bigger turbo, but the FG will have less lag down low (not that theres heaps in the BF anyway).

All comes down to personal preference.

Bang for buck BF all the way more aggressive styling(my opinion) and again its personal preference I also agree with WEBBY do some reaserch that will make things eiser and in the end you will have the car you want, good luck!!

biased here but I would go the BF2. I dont like the FG foggies (FG2 much better) or the plastic grey part on the rear bumper....30k may even see you get a modded BF F6. There was a nice one for sale on here with 330rwkw for 33k

Appreciate your efforts in Afghanistan mate!

What you have to remember is the BF is getting on in age now, 5 to 6 years old and most have over 100000ks. I got a FG mk2 but go the FG as it is s much better package. They can be had for $25000 now and don't need much to get 300+rwks. You might be able to get one with factory warranty if you looked hard enough.

Def get the FG mate, that little turbo makes them a very quick car, a BA/BF with the same power wouldn't keep up with one.

There are actually quite a few internal differences too, google Nizpro's review of the FG for the details.

I think the most important thing is what you like the look of better as the underneath of both will do the job.
