I also thought it might be worth a mention. I was using street tyres that go by the name Autogrip - 245/45/17 on territory steelies. I dropped the pressure to 28psi and to my surprise, it became very hard to lay a decent burnout. Pumped them back up to 36psi and the buggers only chirped on gear change. I thought that they might be just cheap chinese tyres that I could have a little fun with, they ended up having far better grip than the Nankangs (not incinuating that Nankang are good by any means) that I had on last time out. For a cheap tyre, can't go wrong!!
