Pretty simple noob question really, Are both these style of intakes going to help my get the most out of my smaller fg turbo?

I will be aiming for a 310-325 rwkw with a strong low to mid gain, not overly fussed on top end peak power as I don't drive on the street at peak rpm all the time. Will the Turbo side spool up faster?

Also does the factory side intake, still give you the turbo spool that you get from the turbo side intakes? I have searched through a heap of youtube videos but cant seem to find one with the same set-up.

For that power either will do. Dre had the passenger side and got some noise from it.

But if you want real jet spool noise go the turbo side. But remember your up for a battery replacement also. Its gettin a bit $$$ if your doin it just for noise.

If your hearts not just set on plazmaman maybe try ebay *wink*

Nice bit of gear the KPM kit but for 600$ you can get a stinless intake and battery relocation

Yea I think for the extra money I could spend now it will save upgrading later on. What extra is needed to finish your kit? Extension cables for power? Or are these supplied?

I have tested a fg v8 box with a inches of water gauge.(showed 27 which is restrictive @ 309rwkw)

it showed that there was no restriction from the 3inch rubber flexi hose or the v8 air box.

the restriction was the crossover.

so changing the filter set up after the crossover, I would go with the v8 box because it has the best flow of cold air and still has the stock look.(if that's what you want)

@ 309rwkw going from a v8 air box to a 4inch turbo side intake should pick up an extra 8rwkw.

but hey, this is what I found on my car.
