Might have something to do with the fact that it's a pretty tuff Panasonic (12 metres underwater capable etc.)The other advantage of having it inside is you can control when footage is taken and when not (saves on churning through memory on your SD card and also post-editing when you are lookin for particular footage) But have to admit the quality of video from the GoPro's I have had a chance to see (deek's and Dre's) have impressed me. But just a lot of wind noise cos they are mounted externally.
