Gday guys as the tital states id like to know if its worth swaping over

I have my 03 BA XR6 turbo Stock turbo No mods to the Turbo itself but for the Plazmamen intake

Now I MIGHT have the Chance to Swap the turbos and Acuators over from a 08 FG XR6 turbo But both Cars Must still drive Like normal after Swap is done and is it any gain for me to do it my ba has done almost 150,000 and the Fg has done about 30,000

The smaller turbo may not necessarily be a bad thing. The BA will feel a lot stronger down low but will run out of puff up in the top end and are maxed out at 320 which is also staring to strain the BA bottom end. So it may be a pretty good match.

oh and the Both Cars have Standed Tune at this point in time the FG will be traded in and the BA will get a tune later on down the road

stick with the stock turbo. The stronger bottom end with the smaller turbo will kill your 5 speed

what about the Acuator is that worth swaping

The 5 speed will be changed to a 6 speed later on down the road Funds dont alow me to have it yet

im just trying to what as much as I can without Putting any of the cars at risk

BA is 5 speed? Ouch. Had a guy on Facebook telling me his mechanic is running 375rwkw through a 5 speed BA and the BA 5speed he was selling is capable of 350 but only running 280 ATM. Made me laugh.

Also keep in mind that swapping the turbos means both cars will need to be custom tuned.

if you are gona spend money on it to do gearbox conversion and other mods then the larger turbo will be better at the end of the day because you will most likely do more mods, but in saying that you might want even more power and end up changing turbos anyways. theres alot to consider but if it was me I would swap turbos, for stock tune you will be getting boost sooner and a newer turbo aswell. 250-300kw with smaller turbo will feel quicker then same power with ba/bf turbs

just swap rear housings and flapper, his will flow better and yours will be cracked.
