A few questions?

1) Will you have meetings monthly in each state at a venue or will it all be done some home over the net.

2) who will attend these meetings I read on one post there were only 6 Xr6 members for NT.

3)Will forms be different for each state ie differnt rules and regs.

These are a few questions I have and I am sure there are others, If becoming a club is good for the site then fair enough but we need to be sure people will put not only there money but also there time into making it successful. Will this take away time from people using the site.

regards

I think we should do it. Lets get some "official cred"

My only concern is as I have seen here it becoming a "BA" club.

I am becoming quiet passionate about my T and would hope that the club be restricted to T's only.

Whether they are FPV, moded whatever,,,,, T's only please.

I have no warm fuzzy feeling for a BA futura or fairlane... virtually none for the N/A and especially none for the XR8 ( to big for my liking)

If there was no T, I would be driving an M3, GTR, or EVO, not a Ford. :censored:

my 2 cents worth says a club for Tees! :spoton:

cheers

This is what I am afraid about. What about the people like Miss XR (who does ALOT of work for the site and owns an AU from memory), NA Thunder who owns what must be one of the beastiest N/As around here or Mondie, Dallas, Redhawk (instigator of the HgAg club, on second though he SHOULD be banned..lol) Plonky or myself who is a donating member though my thingy doesn't show it yet, Just to name very few?

None of these people have Turbo's but are more than willing to participate in this forum and it's events, I'm sure (sorry if talking out of turn).

So are we going to be excluded by a Boy's Own Annual Club?

No doubt it should be for T's but not exclusively because you will probably be alienating some of the stronger supporters, how about "Associate Members" IF it did happen for people like the aforementioned?

Cheers,

Lumpy the Egalitarian.

I like the "Forum Club" that has been created by Chris and the great team that work hard to keep us all on the straight and narrow.

Why do we need to be a club?

It seems like a lot of work for little gain. At the end of the day there will be nothing realy worthwhile that would be achieved from incorporating except for a whole heap of political BS, people with alterior agendas and less people than we have now due tot he other 2 reasons.

If we want our CAMS license we can join a racing club, if you want to go to AGM's join Ford lovers club (or whatever).

This site has brought a lot of people from many different backgrounds with different point of views and cars, yet for the most part we have a good time and lean a lot about our cars along the way.

We also have a great social calander with events every month and adhoc get togethers.

What more could you want ?

Boring meeting all about the financials of the club, previous minutes and new business :censored: been there done that...no thanks.

If you want events like Drifting, Trackdays or motorkahanas we can speak to clubs and join in. Most clubs would welcome a "psudo" club and its 3500+ members at their events.

I did vote Yes to become a club, but after reading about the pro's and con's I think it would spoil a great thing we have here already.

My 2.2c worth

I drive a T but I agree with Lumpen, that it should not be T only or BA only as not only will memberships suffer but why should people that dont have T or may have one in the future not be allowed to be apart of this. This site has been a product of people wanting to do research on Xr6`s or T`s for the purpose of buying them how many Holden/Subaru owners have sold their cars and bought XR6`s or T`s as a result of this site.As well as other car owners. How many people are not in the position to buy a new car now but will be in 6 months time do we turn our back on them. The purpose of a club is to support its members not discriminate against the ones that dont drive turbos/Ba`s or whatever.

My point to you NYOPA how many people would like to put FPV badges on thier cars to be told its not an FPV because it doesnt have an FPV SID you are saying the same thing to people without turbos.even though the turbos have work carried out on them by FPV during the build ford new they could make more money having an FPV exclusive ie the typhoon and charge 20K more power to the people with money to blow screw the others. I think not.Oh by the way that typhoon that passes you on the freeway will say oh you drive a poor mans Typhoon make ya feel special dont it.
