Robbo> What makes you say it was the registration (I assume you mean incorporation) of the club the reason for it's demise. The politics are no different whether the club is registered or not - the same people are there in the same roles so maybe it was a change in personnell that was the problem. This can happen in any organisation - you want some probs? check out the board of the NRMA

Seriously, the difference between being registered or not is the fact that a registered entity has legal rights and duties - the main issue being that insurance cover can be obtained for members in a registered club when on a club event. This protects the committee, who, in an unregisterd organisation are personally liable for any loss or injury suffererd by a member during any organised event. I certainly would not serve on the committee of any unincorporated body in this day and age where litigation is rife.

BTW 100%

God is perfect. Without him we wouldn't have Holden. Now how would you know your car is not better if we didnt have Holden?

I am grateful to him for ensuring poor design stays with the lion......

In a matter of fact I am saying an extra prayer at Christmas to ensure that Expensive Daewoo gives all fo their design staff a raise at Christmas.......

We dont want Geoff poaching them....

I voted YES.

The only reason I havnt joined a club jet is because I'm waiting for an XR club.

As for the people b**ching about 10,000 opinions from 2000 members, I'd just like to point out the fact that in my opinion most people would be happy to just turn up at the events and not get too involved in the running of the club.

Im far too busy with work and family to concern myself with all the ins and outs, however I'd love to have events organised that I can goto on a semi regular basis, if for no other reason than to catch up with friends with simular interests to myself. and im sure many other members would fit into this catagory.

and on another point, I'd like to see XR & FPV to get full memberships and associate members to all other makes and models.

If it aint broke don't fix it.

Just leave it as it is, I remember joining the forum when I was looking to buy my T and the amount of info I got off the site was good.

If all the info was only available to members only I probably would not have joined.

This is a good site with a growing membership and alot of people donate to keep it going.

If it turns into a club it will definately become political , no doubt about it..

But either way I will still be here

Does anybody know what the stance is on this issue yet, it's been a while with no decision as far as I'm aware.

G'day,

Just curious, and not sure if this has been covered. I am looking at getting an XR6 in the near future (unsure yet if it will be Turbo or N/A).

It was to be a N/A XR6, would owners of N/a XR's be able to join the club aswell?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Swanee
