This outstanding community offers more value to its contributors than any club I have ever heard of to date. While we may not be a "club" in name, we are more than a "club" in spirit and perhaps achieve far more than many clubs have during the same time period.

If anyone can demonstrate there is potentially more added value to our community than us enjoying our "virtual club" here by forming an official club, no doubt we would all be interested to hear it.

Chris and team...take a bow!...this community (our "virtual club") blows most "clubs" away like a T leaving its comparable Expensive Daewoo rival in its dust... :w00t2:

I think we should do it. Lets get some "official cred"

My only concern is as I have seen here it becoming a "BA" club.

I am becoming quiet passionate about my T and would hope that the club be restricted to T's only.

Whether they are FPV, moded whatever,,,,, T's only please.

I have no warm fuzzy feeling for a BA futura or fairlane... virtually none for the N/A and especially none for the XR8 ( to big for my liking)

If there was no T, I would be driving an M3, GTR, or EVO, not a Ford. :gooff:

my 2 cents worth says a club for Tees! :gooff:

cheers

This is what I mean, doesnt even own a BA and wants run the show all ready

Even though she doesnt own a BA, MISSXR (Antoinette) does a hell of alot of stuff behind the scenes for all of us.. stuff which we all take for granted. She puts in many many hours of time assisting with the merchandise, sponsorship, documentation and of course the forming of the club. Not that she has to, but because she wants to because of her love for the Ford brand.

I think that comment was a bit uncalled for Vik.

Special thanks to MISSXR for all her work done for the forum. It is appreciated by all the mod team!

I work with the treasurer of the HD/HR club of NSW.

I asked him to need to know to run a club. This is his answer.

1. Rules.- Get another clubs rules make a few changes, there you got rules.

2. Incorporation - This is the key, an incorporated club can only be sued for its holdings in its bank and the individuals of the club are safe when issue of the club are being dealt with.

3. Bank account - We make a bank account for club money to be handled.

4. Insurance - This is not a expensive as you may think. There policy cost only $300 a year, it was $800 last year he said but they changed companies.

5. Committees and committee meetings - A good reason to cruise somewhere and have a gathering. And we have the meeting when we get there. :spoton: . THere is a lot of people who would be on the committee. People think this will be a problem. But what will we have to argue about. EG This club will now only expect Phantom coloured Cars. Look it aint going ot happen. This is a fun car club people are happy, aren't we?

Also I would like to say that people who think that it should only be 'T' club really should think about it. People who like fords in general may join. I would say that if we are having a cruise for example that people who dont own fords may come but they are to stay behind the group of "Fords". When driving in the group the NA's XR8 and XR6 all look the same baar the bonnets. Plus all the modded cards make them look diff anyways. I think that is you start to turn people away then membership will not be as high and this will have a bad effect on having a fun and easy going club.

A club should be there to not only enjoy the car but to also promote the car so let people who like them come along and be involved as long as well al have fun. Fun is why I got the 'T' not to raise myself up above any other brand of car out there.

Just my thoughts. And I reserve the right to change them :w00t2:

We all know the amazing value of the community we have here. Now that a lot of information has been shared to date, if anyone can summarise the key benefits and costs we would have from an "official club" that we do not currently have in our "virtual club", that would be a good place to start our comparison. In essence, IMHO, our community needs to be better informed about the net benefits comparisons of "virtual club" versus "official club" before we can carefully consider this choice...which is why I have not voted yet. :w00t2:

Thanks.
