Hi all,

I have been on here previously with an issue and have not had it resolved. (See previous post below)

I have finally got a diagnosis - valve springs are stuffed.

Need help in Brisbane. What is the cheapest, reliable option? Car is stock.

Who has got springs supplied and fitted in Brisbane lately?

Thanks.

My car drives normally up to about 3000 rpm. When it gets to there it misses badly and will not accelerate. When I back off there is a loud turbo flutter sound. Rough idle also.

I have done the following already:

Replaced sparkplugs with Iridiums

Replaced Coils

Replaced O2 Sensor

Did Boost Solenoid lube job (As shown on site)

and last replaced Wastegate Actuator.

the cheapest option would have been to pay for a correct diagnosis, but it's a bit late for that. there are a few tuners around brisbane that should be able to diagnose and rectify your problem, Elite in Archerfield do a good job and I'm sure there will be other recommendations from members that have used other tuners

Thanks Ratter.

You are right I should have gone to a tuner first. I tried to do things cheap re diy/general mechanic.

Although I took it to the tuner and they did just about every test under the sun before diagnosing the issue.

I just want to see if anyone has had them fitted in Brisbane lately so I can get an idea of price etc. Also the location of the tuner I went to is not convenient.

I think the price they gave me is not cheap - $1350 - after I already paid $550 to diagnose it.

I can get some replacement springs from Performance Springs QLD for $272 (Some people on this forum have used them before) and just need someone to fit them.

Sunnybank/Springwood/Beenleigh way in Brisbane - anyone??
