Don't listen to dude saying not to mod it, a n/a with 200rwkw will be a great street car and give it to heaps of BA turbos and V8's and surprise the occasional 300rwkw car when you accelerating whilst that dickhead is smoking the tyres going nowhere, will be good on the street below 140k's

Quick update for now:

Booked in for a tint this Saturday with Damian from Dr Tint. Will let everyone know how it all goes!

Im unsure how dark to go... :focus: suggestions anyone ?

Discovered my car had a dodgy outdoor temperature sensor, it never shows above 10degrees. Took it to Ford dealer today at 8am (on appointment, taking into account that im only 20, and my sleeping patters dont usually allow for me to be awake that early lol) just for them to tell me I have to pay for them to fix it =, even though I picked the car up afew weeks ago.

Kinda pissed me off, so I bought a new outdoor temp sensor ($13) and ill probably give it a crack installing it myself. I just cant find anyone on the net whos done it before.

Also bought some misc. plastic interior parts that I discovered were broken when I picked the car up. I also collected the towbar tounge from the dealer which they forgot to give me when I picked the car up.

Overall todays left me a little disappointed with Ford, but the thought of tint on saturday makes me feel a little better.

Now im off to adjust the HID angle cause apparently im blinding people.. I personally think theyre just being winges.

Just me, but IMO, you shouldn't have bought any of the parts, they were faulty and it's a brand new car. If they didn't budge I would've went to another dealer and seen what they did and then contacted Ford to complain about it all.

agree with shy, anything broken, damaged, faulty, etc. should be covered by the dealer. Sounds like they are taking advantage of you being young.

these would look good on a white g6... http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/classifieds/item/826-kmc-rockstars-20x820x10-with-tyres/

So to add to all my grief above, today only just got worse.

First I did the idiotic thing of leaving my car mats at the carwash after vacuuming them. I got distracted by a mate and just drove off. Went back and they weren't there.

Secondly got my first infringement notice today.. Never been done for speeding or lost a demerit point or anything, but I got done for not having headlights on.

I was driving around with the parkers and fog lights on because I havent adjusted my HIDs still, and I was blinding people, and the foggies are bright enough as driving lights. Went through a boose bus and there you go.

I dealt with three different male police officers and two of them were real cu*ts to me. I got questioned about my identity, they tested me on all the info on my license, questioned and tested me for drugs and alcohol, and questioned the car I was driving. when they asked me why I had no headlights on I just said it was a genuine mistake, because I would rather one demerit than them discovering I had HIDs and potentially getting defected for that. To top it off they got my birthday wrong on the infringement notice. It's been a tough week..

It also made me wonder if this is going to only get worse once I start modding the car.

My car is actually a dealer used vehicle and they argued the statutory warranty only covers roadworthy items. so I don't think theirs much I can do unfortunately.

and trainer, those wheels look good, I'm just not ready to buy rims yet :) cheers anyway.

Got my tint in!!!

I absolutely love it. Changes the look of the car completely.

Decided to go darker than legal, because the factory glass is 3% tinted and the tint let's 18% of light through.. technically the windows let 15% of light through, which is bloody dark.

But I have no problem seeing at night or when reversing.

Highly recommend Damian at Dr Tint. It was very cheap, and so far the quality looks to be very good. He also used a new style carbon based tint which doesn't affect antenna reception in the back window, and lifetime warranty.

PM me if anyone wants his details. :)

Loving the look of the car dude! the tint sets it right off! makes it mean :)

I saw earlier you looked at getting a growler intake. I have one currently on my XR6 NA, and its the best thing I've done to the car. Makes it sound better, better fuel economy, and depending what type of driver you are, if you floor it, the intake sounds like a charger winding up :D...but no kick -.-

Thanks mate :) good to see another winter white owner!

are you using the growler intake with the big mouth induction?

im defiantly going to save my coin for it. sounds like the benefits are amazing, and im keen to hear the intake noise :D

It is one of the more expensive intakes though..

Hi Andrew,

Welcome aboard and nice car, noticed you had a winge about Ford?

Is is Coffey Ford Dandenong?

If it is write a formal complaint to Ford about what has happened and the attitude they gave you about the sensor, I and a few others have had nothing but problems from that particular dealership as they are rude arrogent and have no idea how to treat customers cars and that all I will say.

Next time take your car to Strapp Ford Evans Rd East Burwood near the corner of Highbury rd next to car wash. Highly recommend and its close to you!

Car looks amazing happy cruising
