Would this have anything to do with the 265/30 19s ive got on the back ?Also the car stalls intermittently when idling at the lights, or mainly going between drive and reverse or park to reverse, has anyone heard of this issue ? it's doing my head in does anyone have any advice ??? Thanks Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/79836-fg-turbo-stalling/ Share on other sites

turbotrana Member 2,586 Member For: 22y 14d Gender: Male Posted 23/04/12 12:02 PM Share Posted 23/04/12 12:02 PM I have an occassional stalling when coming to lights problem, mainly when cold. Tuner told me it was there before he tuned the car.Told it could be the following. Throttle body, oxygen sensor, fuel purge solenoid. I am going to put the SCT3 tuner thingo and datalog when it stalls to see if I can pin point it. Like with anything electrical it can be a real nightmare trying to sort these things, esp when no error codes are thrown Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/79836-fg-turbo-stalling/#findComment-1226478 Share on other sites

Try the aftermarket ones. I'll go looking for the name of them, can't remember atm. Everyone I spoke to that have put them in said they're much better, can't fault themEdit; Super Pro Comfort Ride. Some say they're noisy but if installed exactly how the instructions say, should have no problems. It's not tuned at the moment I've spoken to Jim about it and he insists with a custom tune and the injectors im looking at doing it'll stop. But who knows..In regards to the diff bushes I've heard the polyurethane ones are the best to use, but are quite pricey- probably worth it in the end. And yes, Ford "replaced" them the first time round with the stock ones again.I actually had the BOV blocked off, didn't really like it so went back to using the GFB, and it's been stalling ever since so it just may be a leak. I've done my injectors, CAI, dump + cat, tune. Car went good for a few months then the stalling started.I'm no expert but after having the car checked out a few times I dont think it is any of the mods and am focusing on the transmission. reason why I think its all related to the transmission is;1. happens regularly when going P->R or ->D (seems to pull the revs down just enough when going between these gears to make it stall),2. seems to happen when coming to the lights and it changes down a gear (whether in auto or sports/manual) just as its about to stall if I quickly put it in neutral it stabilises instantly.I've already had the tranny serviced @ 30,000km and tuned but still happening intermittently. I've got the tranny booked in for stage 3 build to fix up the top end issues and overhaul/strengthen the whole box so I can comfortably do some more mods with out the fear the tranny is going to give out in the mean time. I'm hoping it will correct all these other little issues that I'm having. For the diff bushes I've destroyed the original set and had them replaced with some comp grade ones, its a bit clunky but feels solid as. I was all committed to overhaul mine but I waited until the software was available and now its fantastic, firm gear shifts and they can be tailored to suit. I have the superpro bushes in my BF and havent noticed any added noise in the comfort bush, they make a soild and comfort(void) bush. I've done about 30 000 klms on them and they still look good.CheersJoel Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/79836-fg-turbo-stalling/#findComment-1229030 Share on other sites
