Just had the car up on a hoist and can confirm it is only running the 1 044 pump

What voltage is being put through it?

I'll find out about ford current fuel system and whether it's e85 safe and whether ford did any e85 testing. I'll report back.

Also possum, if one 044 and 1000cc injectors are all that's required to max out my gt35/40 then all I need is some injectors and a tune possibly.

When car is tuned for e85 and you want to switch back to 98

how much is a safe level of fuel to switch?

Just run it down to the Empty line and fill up with 98, a couple of litres will not hurt.

Pretty easy doing it that way as there are plenty of servos that sell 98, it's doing it the other way that requires a bit of planning to get to the servo with only a couple of litres left

As low as you can. Carry a Jerry can in the boot if on the move and not a good idea to try first time in peak hour. Car runs really rich. Hard to start. Think burble and spit. SWitching back to E85 no probs at all though. I only switch back to 98 if heading out to Dubbo or Armidale.

I have been using E85 for a while now in my FGXR6T and have 3 full circuit days on it too. Will be at eastern Creek in a few weeks May 24th too! Fantastic fuel! Runs so much cooler and dare I say it, idles and runs smoother than 98 too.

As I do track days, I wanted a fool proof fuel system that some may see as overkill but I didn't want any risk of fuel starvation and I I like the thought of over strengthening my cars, then abusing the crap out of them.

Even though the car only has 347rwkw, it comes on VERY strong and from very low with the stock FG turbo. I have a bigger intank pump, feeding 2 Bosch 044 pumps which then flow to a Surge Tank and Process West dual Fuel Rail with a Fuel Regulator (One for 3 cylinders, and one for the other 3). Bought REAL ID1000's direct from the States.

everyone know where I stand on this united e85 mainly because we have had in s.a for close to 5 years now on pump started at 99cpl and some blokes have been on it from day one. it has had testing done out the ying yang and nothing but excellent results, p/w surge tanks have had no ill effects and even the earliest ba systems have been fine up until now none of the fuel system has had any effect to date here. in the earlie days there was talk of it eating at the gaskits and such but over time with many build jobs being doen nothing has surfaced as a issue even the slightest. this fuel is a complete win win situation cant believe theres still talk like this is new and worry should be taken into account. so many before and so many after will use united e85 without a issue, switching back to 98 isnt a issue with less than 50kms to empty it will just bump up the 98 octaine rating to like 99 or 100oct big woop,
