I am willing to do anything, have tonnes of tickets and civil construction experience. if anyone can throw me a bone and help me out I can send through my resume and will be forever in debt!Any help is much appreciatedCheers guysLiamMcDowellMineS.doc

Started belt splicing, did that for a year then went to fire suppression for about 4 years. Both jobs were for contractors that paid decent and I worked at almost every site in the Bowen basin and got to know a lot of people that helped me get a job as a trainee operator which is where I wanted to be. Been operating for about 5 years now and know enough people that I'll never be without a job but the bosses get so many people asking for a job for their mate that I think it just goes in one ear and out the other. Just keep trying and you'll get in. For example Thiess did a massive intake about a year and a half ago where they took 90% of all applications experienced or not. Good luck mate

I have done trucks and excavators at work, not all day every day but sometimes a full week on a machine and I feel lazy so I think working with the cranes and riggers would suit me more long term but TA's or offsiders I will take anything for a foot in hahathanks for the input

Guest XR09 Guests Posted 27/04/12 10:54 PM Share Posted 27/04/12 10:54 PM Just wondering if you have added up what you would earn if you did not move but worked the same hours ????If I wanna bash a seventy hour week I can earn close to four large here. Sleep in my own bed. Not lose days playing or working in transit.Mining was great for the guy who had no trade to get qualified or earn decent bucks. Now guys capable of earning decent bucks are doing it the hard way ??Dunno just always wonderedLike I luv it cause all your missus's call me when you go lol
