Remember to BYO filters and fluids for coolant etc.

Maybe check relevant threads on forum if unsure of fluids to bring, like I'm about to do with coolant...I did a semi coolant change but didn't have enough concentrate I think so time to do it again!

Here's one prepared earlier:

Need 10L of premix or distilled water (plus mixers) all up

It turns yellow because:
A: It's crap coolant
B:
The blocks are sand cast and 10000k's seems to be just about enough
time to wash the residual sand particles out of the cooling system.

Also +1 for Tectalloy 90+ for post mix or Castrol Radicool for Premixed

I would like to do my Earl inline oil filter. I am assuming that I will need to dump all my oil to do this job and then replace it with a fresh clean batch?

Sound about right?

Maybe someone can show how to do the trans cooler install too?

I have a mate from work who wants to tag along to see this, and just to see some other T's in general - he's on the forums (orangexr6turbo I think his name is)

nah no need, you will only loose whats in the feed line to the turbo (ie 4/5 of f-all)

Ciaran, trans cooler install is a 3-4hr job. Not really a basic maintenance task

Could go for a greasing of window winder motors inside the door perhaps, white lithium grease good for this? Also silicone for the rubbers?

Righto !

You should all have PM's now with my address and mobile number, if I've missed you, just pipe up here and I'll send you the details.

If you aim to get to my place somewhere around 11 or 12, we'll try to wrap things up by five as I have another engagement.

You can park on the lawn or the driveway if there's room.

Notes.

I have a couple of 20L containers for waste oil, it's free to dump at the local tip so I'm happy to look after that.

Not sure what to do with used coolant, maybe the tip will take that too.

I have compressed air, a trolley jack, two sets of stands and I reckon I have just about all the tools we'll need including a torque wrench if you need it.

Someone pls bring a filter wrench because I don't have one.

It's gunna be 39 degrees but we'll be in the garage out of the sun and I can open roller doors to get a breeze going and have a floor fan and even an air con vent in the garage that you can stand under.

I'll supply soft drinks and plenty of ice and water.

I'll also supply a basic barbie lunch.

I have a carton of Coronas in the fridge that I will never finish so feel free but please be responsible.

Finally... this is my house, I have nice toys, if you have any dodgy mates, don't bring them with you.
