. Is this gonna be an all day event?

Half day mate.

Turn up at my place at 12ish, I'll throw some stuff on the barbie to be ready at about 1pm or thereabouts.

Finish at 5pm or earlier if everyone gets sick of me and goes home.

we need to build a list of tasks people would hope to achieve,as a start

Boost Solenoid Clean

Throttle Body Clean

Turbo Oil Line filter

etc

etc

etc

then we can whittle the list down to achieve tasks in the above time frame.

I work away and need to get in on this somehow. However I would not wish to dominate the day with what I would love to get done. I also couldn't say for certain whether I'd be away on that day - my swings vary :(

Ideally -

engine oil and filter change
turbo oil filter change

spark plugs change (and set gap if needed? I have those thingys to measure it).
coolant flush and change

someone to look at a few things for me that I have some worries about (clunky diff/trans, turbo has a grating sound after shutting engine off).

However if there are any time restraints the main items I'd love to get my head around is changing the plugs and flushing the coolant and replacing with new coolant.

In exchange for some help I don't mind bringing:

Beer

Food

Some tools

I'll bring a can of carby clean or two for anyones use.

My mechanical background is limited - I've mainly worked on motorcycles both old and new and cars just seem like such a daunting challenge to me at times! I've done the boost solanoid maintenance, cleaned my own throttle body so far on my xr6t myself.

If you've gotten into the throttle body, changing plugs won't phase you much. I changed mine out with the help of a guide on here I think, no probs. I forgot the copper anti seize goop though...

But I am probably less mechanically minded than you are, but I change my own oil/filter, have done coolant and the usual solenoid/TB clean many times. Like most things, easy when you know how, which is what this day will be great for! Thanks in advance to those organising.
