Limo all the way. Why is this even debatable? Only TAB thinks single spinners are better. No one else does. But I'm not paying for one. Should come with one. Rather buy other other stuff. Like drugs and hookers..... Kidding!!!

Is that drunk-posting or have you lost the plot?

No I'm off the turps, been a month now. Feel mint. My new drug is stirring you up.Lets be honest, it dosent take much.

Probably because the majority of us don't go in Drag competitions...

Anyway, it's a moot point. The market Ford is targeting the G6ET at (naively or not) is the older end of the car buying spectrum for several reasons and they are less likely to want or to care whether the car has an LSD. They are buying it to have some 'fun' but not going to 'Prinny' on Fridays fun. Without being stereotypical, it is true that the majority of young males:

  • Have less money than older people
  • Like to 'show off' more than older people
  • Pay more attention to care specs than older people
  • Care about the 'looks' of a car more than 'luxury'

Taking this into account, I can understand why Ford didn't include an LSD with the G6ET which is 25% more expensive than the XR6T. Instead, they include 'luxury' to attract the more cashed up buyers who don't care so much whether the car has a spoiler and 'looks fast'. Obviously, Ford have overestimated the average buying age. The Ford dealer in Parramatta even commented to me that 50% of his buyers are on the young end of the age scale. He initially thought it would be mid-40's+ buying the car but the reality is, it's actually the under-35's buying a lot of these cars.

I don't really mind anyway. At least this way, if I want an LSD, I can put a good quality one in straight up instead of the chinese one Ford has in the XR6T. If it already had one, I'd have to consider if the cost was worth the smaller upgrade (so value for money wise an aftermarket LSD is a better upgrade on the G6ET).

I think it caught everyone by surprise and still does, I was under 30 when I purchased mine as it suited me perfectly and still does now. There was/is the grandpa stigma attached to it and luckily enough I don't give a fck what others think!

And that's because they are better.

Try and add some qualification to your comment; better for who and under what circumstances? That's what the grown-ups are actually discussing in this thread.

As soon as you put a turbo in a car, it becomes popular with younger crew. VL, Wrx, Skylines etc. And because they can get finance, money isn't an issue. Ford should know that. Not many old farts care about turbos. My old man crapped himself when he booted my car.

I bought mine cause I couldn't find an XR with lux pack, most people probably buy limos for that reason. Interesting to see how the new ones go considering how sh*t they look.
