Mate the whole car is an issue! But hopefully the tuner sorts it all out (for free) and I can just enjoy the thing

ahhh bugger....Just suprises me because it's at really low rpm levels when just trying to overtake on the highway in 6th from lets say 90-120kms.

I agree that it's gotta be valve springs, but from previous reads on the forum I just figured valve springs was after u backed off hard..Not midway thru boosting!

Cheers again

I have a 05 t suffering the same problem, with the valve springs, myne have only been done 2 mnths ago (less than 2000 kms) doesnt make sense. iv read a few other forums and some other ppl r saying its overboosting/spiking

So the reason the emissions light is coming up is because the faulty wastegate is dumping all the wrong pollutants down into the cat (is what the exhaust shop said)

An exhaust shop told you that??!!! Wow id be goin to a different shop lol

Bionic - lol I gave up days ago on diagnosing this problem mate haha... It's going to the Tune shop tomoz for them to deal with it!!

What the exhaust guy said made sense to me (because I know ---> '0' <--- about waste gates).

Feel free to explain how a wastegate problem could cause this Shudder/stutter though.

Chiso92 - I'll keep u posted with what my cars problem is and let you know...Surely can't be your valve springs hey!! Could be same illness as mine (whatever that turns out to be haha)

When I was on the dyno the other day we ran up in 4th on the first run and when we got to 4500rpm it hit its speed limiter and threw 2 wastegate codes, when it hit the limiter it felt exactly like traction control and power just stopped. After fixing the limiter issue it ran right through ad made 390rwkw :) some food for thought..... But if indeed that is what they told u about wrong pollutants I suspect they know sweet FA themselves lol a wastegate opens at the desired boost level bypassing the turbine wheel therefore limiting the energy delivered to the turbine wheel which causes boost to stay at the desired level.... It doesnt pick and choose which gases it bypasses it just opens and lets everything through...

The traction control feeling is EXACTLY what it feels like. I thought this also..Except mine shudders for about 5-10 seconds after that initial power loss! See what they say later today I guess

Got car back from Tuners today and the problem was the load points had all changed with new clutch installed.. Car before hand had 326rwkw and 680nm.

Got it back tonite with a complete retune and it made 368rwkw and 800nm! And no stuttering :)

They only charged me $380 for a complete retune - STOKED!

A car can not be tuned correctly with a slipping clutch, replacing the clutch will have a different load value occurring in the ecu and the car would not have been tuned for this, this may be some of
