really it was just an educated guess, as I mentioned anyone diagnosing over the net is just guessing, but the reality is, the engine load would be less while the clutch was slipping, there would be no way of tuning accuratelt for something that may occur unless you can make it occur, a slipping clutch would stop the engine from reaching the higher loads points.

Hmmm was reading this thread with a keen eye as my bf has the exact same problem. Delighted you found the solution but unfortunately for me mines a stocker ... back to square one for me :(

Could a collapsed Cat cause a miss?....I have a miss in my BA XR6T and if I get down near the cat I can hear the miss fire through the cat like it has a hole in it only it doesnt....
Help lol
