So whats is every ones advice for launching off the line in a ZF...Going to run my car down the strip for the first time next month so keen on some tips..Going to be running 411rwkw with some MT ET Streets.

Foot on brake, stall it up, Do people do hand break too?

Also are people launching in D, Perf mode or manual changing from 1st and so on..

Also traction control on or off?

cheers

Being an F6 you may get away with just the footbrake, if the footbrake cant hold it and you start to creep forward you need to use the handbrake aswell.

If you have a boost gauge use that as your guide.

1. Traction Control off.

2. Burnout in D, get some decent heat into the MT's.

3. Select 1st, stage and stall to 5psi and then let her rip.

You can increase boost off the line as you go and the track will only get better as more rubber is layed.

So REDNOSE are you manually changing gears down the strip in the zf?

Best way to warm up ET radials is to obviously turn tc off and put it in 1st. Left foot on brake and hit the throttle hard. It will spin straight away. Red line then straight into 2nd. Red line then straight ino 3rd then release foot off brake so you get out of the water.

Stage. Then stall up to about 2000rpm slowly to avoid tyres spinning. I can't go more than this without a stall otherwise it creeps fwd. When your ready release break and gun it.

I've tried all methods and I have found manual changes is the quickest.

Best of luck.

That's an extremely impressive time there Glouva, especially with the 359rwkws you had then.

I think I might follow your techniques!

Holding the brake while doing a burnout will stuff the LSD. I would just go on the water and punch it. Reverse far enough behind the line and give a small launch then stage.

Remember, bigger burnout more heat in the engine bay
