So someone with no idea knows better than a qualified mechanic?

Some mechanics (insert any other job here too) may not give a toss, but plenty of them do.

I take the work I do and the work my team does very seriously. Any other good mechanic would too.

With doing some simple things like what's on my list you don't need to be a mechanic you just need to care and give it a go and with the DIY day there will be others like myself there that are qualified who can show you how to do it right

Not sure what you do but it sounds like you specialise in something. A specialist or specialist team does care because if they stuff up it's their ass but your average mechanic probably just wants your car out of his workshop.

Defence contractor. Failed QA's cost us $40k a pop.

We're not really specialists, but I set a high standard for my guys.

It's not just that they know better, they can cost a bit. Why pay, say $200, for something you could do, but may take twice the time? I know money makes the world go round but hey if I can do the job just as well, be stuffed if I'm paying. May sound like I'm a tight arse but I'd rather put that money towards other (or more) mods :)

Any broken pieces usually aren't passed onto the owner, just shove it away, cover it up and forget it ever happened. When it's your own car, there's alot more care imo..

Could make a tutorial video, sell it for the forum. Not too expensive. Say $10 or something and the money goes to the forum :) So all the guys who join up just for the video (if it was made free to view on the net) and leech it and not donate!

Sorry shy but the only way you would get me to donate is by bringing the VOT thread back.

Probably will get banned now. haha
