So have already received alot of unsolicted offers to help on this - so looks like no issues there people sharing their knowledge :roflmbo: And plenty of interest in people wanting to learn

Just thinking about it more - and we really need a place that has proper facilities where oil spills or even just basic stuff like washing up is possible. My main intention is to keep it free so it's just like mates helping each other out and it's gotta be done with basic tools that we would or could have inexpensively at home (so no hydraulic hoists and stuff even though that would obviously makes things safer and easier). And safety is a concern as well - don't want anybody hurting themselves (not talking only about jacks not doing their job but even simple stuff like cuts on hands and fingers).

So, for the first one we hold, it may have to be simple stuff that does not require much technical skill or tools or any fancy facilities. Will need a list of simple stuff that people would like to know how to do but can help keep the car running well or properly. An example would be tightening the manifold bolts, cleaning the K&N air filter or changing the wiper blades. Some people may not even know what a K&N filter is or that you can buy them to replace your OEM Ford disposable filter and get better performance out of our cars by using them (after a custom tune). I reckon possibly my car has had issues sometimes on long cruises cos the K&N filter was clogged up with grease and crap. On the recent VIC Alpine Cruise, cleaned it before hand and did not have any engine going into limp mode issues at all :spoton:

So let's start that list of basic simple things we could do and I'll try to suss out a venue and date for us (by the way - any offers of a venue would be well considered :spoton: )

:beerchug:

Gaz I can think of 50 things to go through with people about ba Bf turbos and I also have a great place we could hold the event near my house in eltham it's a massive car park it's sorta really hidden so we wouldn't get any unwanted attention and we wouldn't piss anyone off I think the spot at least 50 cars could fit as well

Ok just a few things I have up my sleeve that's comes in handy

1. Tighten manifold bolts

2. Lube and clean boost solinoid actuator

3. Change spark plugs + coils

4. Change tps + reset tps

5. Change engine oil + filter

6. Change fuel filter

7. Clean throttle body

8. Block of bov to make flutter

9. Clean aircon filter

10. Clean or replace fuel pressure reg

11. Replace brake pads + rotors + bleed brakes

Plus there is a heap more like installing mods eg

New cooler

Injectors

Fuel pump

Exhaust cat and dump pipe

Actuator

Relocate battey to boot or passenger side so turbo side air box can be fitted

Dose pipes

Plenums

And pretty much anything
