Should add bearings (Big end & main), make sure your using good quality head bolts and replace the timing chain guides. I think its the guides that break and let the cams skip teeth?

Is there any machining involved with fitting in the new rods and bearings?

I know what you mean about the oil pump housing being the killer but I think that is the part that usually goes most from what Ive read.. something about the relief circuit not being big enough when up in the top end then hitting the limiter..?

Maybe someone else may know more about this and it isn't necessary and just the gears are needed.. not sure.

Oil pump failure is a combination of both sh*t gears and lack of flow isnt it? The whole pump assembly with gears is under $1000 exchange

Whats a few hundred more when spending so much already, plus its out of the car and easy to do.

Thanks for the info mate im going to talk to elite performance tomorrow about it

Im also going to look at new cam bearings as well as my friend told me if replaceing the main bearings then you should also do the cam bearings as well.

Lastly Im wondering whats better crow cams valve springs or nizmo valve springs I know atomic do great springs but they are out of my price range
