Sometimes when the car has less than a quarter of a tank of fuel this will happen under hard acceleration, aother thing peoples all the yukky gunk at the bottom of the tank don't help if the car is always left on empty won't help.

Disconnect the battery for 2mins for everything to reset, fill up octane 98 then try giving planting the foot to the ground see if its different - if not something ain't right check fuel filter and maybe drop the oil in the ZF may help forget what oil to recommend too.

There's a few different oils people use, not all are approved but a quick search on here you'll see what people use and is the best they've used

A couple of Wednesdays ago at Willowbank there were some modded FG's (Both sixes and 8's) that had the same kind of problems - ZF's not shifting on their own causing lots of rev limiter action.

I pondered then what might cause this and then seen this thread.

I've had mine refuse to shift 3 to 4 under WOT even in manual mode. Think it's slipping that causes it unfortunately, it never did it at the drags a while back and was in manual mode each time up to 4th as I crossed. Not sure if this suggestion will help or not!

Ive just had the transmission serviced and tuned and it still does it, ive also got a surge tank so I dont think its got to do with fuel as it also does it with a full tank... It happens more often in 'D' and 'Perf' mode but still happens in manual mode occassionaly mainly 3rd to 4th and under full acceleration.

Its starting to do my head in lol. Noob question for you Vevapower, what are the frictions? =/

Thanks heaps for the advice guys.

Cheers
