Won't work full stop, Ford struggle to sell any car at the moment, what makes you think anyone will even bother looking at this ecoboost Falcon? People don't buy Falcon because it's a Falcon, not what engine is under the bonnet.

if you wanted to buy a average everyday falcon would you rather pay 6cly rego or 4cly rego and would you want one that's good on fuel or crap? for the normal person who just wants a stock falcon this gives you simlar performance for less fuel rego.. what they really need to do is make a rwd focus with this engine, then they would be on to a winner

your right though Expensive Daewoo can sell 6ltr holdens with the price of fuel and rego atm, they could sell ice to eskimos

Just try and block-out the engine size, you guys are seeing the 2.0l and thinking the world is going to end. Focus on the power and torque it's delivering along with a fair weight saving.

It's the same short-sighted thinking that the devoted V8 fans have against a turbo 6. T6 > 8 yeah? Therefore T4 > 6?

If you're an enthusiast then it's not something that'll float your boat, but for the other 98% of the population it's certainly a viable option.

Don't think so Tab as Ford struggle to sell the Falcon, my brother inlaw works for them and I'm the only 1 who has taken the Ford discount. My dad, commodore, mum Mercedes, brother Holden, 1 sister a Audi other sister VW. He has offered the discount to other family members and no one has taken it. All have the same answer...... It's a falcon! I love them as does everyone on here, but like I said people don't buy it as its a Falcon not what engine is under the bonnet. 22% off RRP and I'm the only one who used it.

So...because nobody in your family wants one because they think they are above driving a falcon, you can extrapolate that to the entire population and draw the conclusion that nobody will buy it? :spit: I bet Ford feel silly for spending countless millions on this exercise when all they had to do was to call Pazzo to be enlightened!

Doing the same thing is seeing sales dwindle so why wouldn't they try something else?

Tab, If the Falcon sold well how come they don't sell so many now? Only thing that will happen is, if Ford sell 1000 Falcons in 6cyl form, maybe 200 out of that 1000 will buy the ecoboost.

Why would someone who does not like or want a Ford turn around and buy a 4 cyl Ford? So all Ford are going to do is lose sales from the 6 to the 4 in my honest opinion.

Tab your just one of those one eyed Ford fans by the looks of it.

Explain why you think they will sell? then 1 in a year time we will see. like the Territory, they selling as many as they did when they first came out? Don't think so.

2011 toatal Falcon sales----- 18741

2011 total commodores-------40617

2011total mazda3-------41429

you do the sums
