Ive seen a couple FGs that seem to throw a rather large amount of oil into the inlet tract for some reason. I reccomend taking off all your inlet pipes and perhaps your hot/cold side piping aswell if you wanted to get serious about it. clean all the snot out of them... hot soapy water, then solvent or paint thinners then blow all the moistere out with compressed air. reassemble and repeat every 20000 or so..How much is it exactly? Only fg mk2 run ATF, and if there is oil there maybe the hose clamp is a bit loose or something wash it down with solvent and see if it comes back after you tighten the clamp, oil mist/residue in the intake tract is normal and unavoidable unless u run a catch can setup Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/79628-oil-in-the-engine-bay/#findComment-1220180 Share on other sites

Lol well really no oil residue should be coming out of hose clamps / piping joins at all, either its coming from somewhere else or you have a boost leak Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/79628-oil-in-the-engine-bay/#findComment-1220199 Share on other sites

Frees up a couple hidden ponies aswell.A company falcon turbo car that comes in regurlary has a similar problem like yours. Silicon joiners weeping oil despite all the clamps being tight. The car gets thrashed often so the problem is rather apperant. Oil will still slightly weep from those joiners if there is alot of it in there or if you are a very spirited driver but both of those causes normally revolve aorund one another haha.Id still double check them to be sure Edited 09/04/12 08:10 AM by MX Dave Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/79628-oil-in-the-engine-bay/#findComment-1220218 Share on other sites
