HSV's have nothing on FPV's for weight, FPV's weigh in heavier, the mid range of the turbo is what helps it pull away the power comes in earlier than the V8 Holden, and then they are playing catch up from there. But fark me the V8 Holdens sound nice at full noise with big exhaust and cam :)

No denying there a good car, but to make them go you got to spend BIG.

Exaust-$ 2000 to $4500

Otr-$450 to $650

Head&cam package- $4000 to $6000

Tune- $600 to $1000

That will only met you anywhere between 320rwks to 340 rwks.

Ford Xr6, injectors ,cat XCAL and tune- $2500 for 300rwks.

Spend $5000 and have 330rwks.

I weighed my BF F6 on a weigh bridge and it came in at 1850kg then I weighed my VE SS-V and it weighed in at 1860kg, both without drivers and a full tank of fuel.. I'm sure an E3 GTS would weigh more than my SS though..

An SS-V would have probably just as much electronics in it as a GTS does, you have the best of both worlds IMO :)

I remember a few years ago I think, Jman held a dyno day, had a 317 Clubby, pull 225rwkw's.. We all had a good laugh..

My old school X.D 351 had around 215rwkw...fairly mild...which is nothing now but 15 or so years ago and on my p plates was decent. That car weighed around 1500kg.

225rwkw doesn't make sense if fly wheel is 317? I thought a 20% power loss was approx the norm.
