I highly doubt a AWD model will happen too, there would be very little return on the investment imo

Having said that, I reckon changing to FWD will not be met with much enthusiasm

Has anyone noticed the new car market in aus Mazda 3 won last year! the Expensive Daewoo cruze is just about to take over or already has taken over the Late model camira and then there's all the fwd Toyotas! no1 wants a large Rwd and the numbers are showing!

I think all falcon and Late model camira drivers will stay with rwd. Fwd are useless with large amounts of power or towing or carrying heavy sh*t.

And also the most popular car of the year isn't necessarily the best. It's usually a small car like a Getz or Mazda.

I haven't driven a cruze but I drove around a Mazda 3 sp23 around for a couple of years and it was the f*cking worst car ever. Would never reccomend one to anyone. Was useless.

If they replace it with a fwd I'll buy a different brand and I think a lot of others would do the same. Surely ford learnt their lesson when they couldn't sell the taurus in the Australian market, but that was probably mainly to do with it being ugly as anything.

Yep - cost of ownership probably influences the ranking. Cheaper to buy and run. And resale value probably better. Driving fun probably has a lower priority :idunno:

I'm confused. 2014 for a ... what. MK3 or a new vehicle ???.

Or will FG2 run to 2016 and a new vehicle. That makes most $$$ sense. And globals are all about the $$$

We Aussies have fought for the RWD since the seventies fuel shortage. So far we have won.

Labour has set it up so now we are up their with the smokers and the beer drinkers.

Tyre smoking, fuel guzzling fun cars are about to be hit big time. You wont be dumping emitions, You will be dumping $ notes. God bless the carbon tax. And the fuel companies will run with it. And the ACCC will say nothing is wrong here as always.

Besides our dirt, no one is making money on anything. So the powers that be rape us.

I love my RWD's. But point to point to point they are not as fast or effiecient. FWD are fun to drive these days. Not sure I would buy one yet though lol.

So many accountants, draft people and others are working from home now. All office employees are become VA's or O/s call centers and book keepers.

A good way to lower the road toll I guess. Make the road a privalege and not a right. Make it too dear for the common man.

I
said in the other thread like this one, at this stage all you can do is guess and speculate what the next model will be like. kinda pointless.

unless bunna can give you some insight but even he cant say much.

Awd has already happened ..... Sho taurus falcon replacement contender

Think they weigh about 100kg more then a falcon, so you might be right.

But even at 1800 it's still way to heavy. Makes 270kw's on 87 too.
